Hollaback - Patient Man Productions

Over the weekend I had the honor of being able to help document the Hollaback Alberta Launch Party. It was held at the Yellowhead Brewery. Enlightened by speeches Sandra Azocar and Dr. Frank Robinson, entertained by a number of amazing musical acts (Sara Isabel, Karl Andriuk, The New Dirty Pretty, Acoustic Project and KickupaFuss), engaged by a number of great volunteers promoting a range of worthy causes, and including a silent auction that hopefully generated a decent amount of funds, it was a great evening out for everyone involved. If you want to see who was there and what the entertainment was like, please click here.

And of course, I can’t do a session this year without a prize, so I will choose the best comment as to why Hollaback is something that you would like to support, and give that commenter a free 30 minute photo session (restrictions apply – in Edmonton, subject to availability). To enter you must comment on this post within 90 days (when then commenting closes). Good luck everyone!

  1. I’m an Edmonton native who moved to the US 6 years ago. I’m planning to move back home this summer and have been following the activities of the Alberta chapter of Hollaback with the intention of getting actively involved when I return home. I’m so proud that the group is active in the area, given how important this kind of activism is.
